The Origin Story
Every building project in Australia starts the same way. A property address, a dream, and a gauntlet of planning rules, council overlays, zoning restrictions, and environmental constraints that most customers don’t know exist and most builders spend hours researching manually. By the time the paperwork gets to council, the margins are thin, the timelines have slipped, and the customer has had more than one reason to reconsider.
uDrew was founded to fix that. What if the site intelligence that traditionally took days and thousands of dollars to commission could be delivered instantly, from any property address? What if compliant design happened within the design process, not as a painful review at the end? What if customers could see exactly what was possible on their own property before they committed a deposit? Those three questions became uDrew OnSite, uDrew Studio, and uDrew Connect.
Today, uDrew works with dealer networks, design practices, and trade businesses across Australia and New Zealand. The product keeps evolving, but the founding principle hasn’t changed: every professional who builds for a living deserves access to accurate, live planning intelligence from the first enquiry, not days later after a costly mistake.
